3v3 Basketball FAQ's
❓ How do players register? Can they register individually?
Players can register as individuals looking for a team, or a parent/team organizer can register a complete team.
The team organizer is responsible for registering and paying the full team fee. How the cost is divided among team members is up to each team.
Teams can have 3 to 6 players, and we will provide a list of other individuals also looking for teams to help with connections. However, we do not assemble teams.
❓ When are games played?
All games are on Sundays between 3:00 PM and 8:30 PM at Proehlific Park.
Each team plays 2 games per game day, with a 1-game break between games.
This format helps limit your time commitment at the facility.
Game times vary weekly — younger teams will typically play earlier, older teams later. The master schedule for each Sunday will be released the Monday night prior for planning.
❓ What does it cost to play?
-
Team registration is $300 per team (minimum 3 players).
-
This works out to $50 per player for a 3-player team.
-
Teams with 4, 5, or 6 players can divide the cost however they choose.
-
Refunds are only available if a team or player withdraws at least 2 weeks before the season starts.
❓ Where are games played?
All games are held at Proehlific Park (Courts 1, 2, or 3) in Greensboro, NC.
❓ Do players receive uniforms? What equipment is needed?
Yes! Registration includes a team shirt in a custom color. Teams submit their top 3 color choices, and we do our best to provide one of them.
Players must bring their own basketballs. At the start of each game, the team that loses the “rock, paper, scissors” picks the best game ball brought by either team.
❓ How is the league structured? Are there standings or playoffs?
MVP 3v3 focuses on playtime and fun — no standings, no playoffs, no championships.
We do not keep individual stats. Our court monitors ensure fair play and track game scores.
We aim to match teams against similar or slightly stronger competition each week.
The league is not co-ed — boys play boys’ teams, girls play girls’ teams.
❓ Can parents volunteer? Are spectators allowed?
Absolutely — we welcome volunteers and appreciate all offers of help!
Spectators are encouraged, and there’s no entry fee — come cheer, support, and enjoy!
❓ What is the Shooting Stars Competition?
At the end of the season, we celebrate with a Shooting Stars Competition for players in 5th through 12th grade.
It’s not just a fun individual shooting contest — it also helps support a charity, with a portion of registration fees going to a positive cause!
